DESIGNING THE NEW “CUSTOMS HOUSE” ON LA GOMERA ISLAND

During the next months, our team will work in the museology-museography design and the Management and Operational Plan of a new tourism equipment with many centuries of history, and that will be part of a future tourism product related with Christopher Columbus’ time on La Gomera Island. An action that will be carried out in the BIC of the “Casa del Pozo de La Aguada” and is aimed at enhancing this equipment as a Feudal House, as well as the Customs House where an important part of the commercial life of the island took place in the 16TH, 17TH AND 18TH centuries.

We seek to maintain the identity of the BIC, providing the museum with interpretative and relevant contents that together with an adequate tourist-flow management will make thishouse to become one of the reference sites to visit on La Gomera Island.
