PLANNING OF THE INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM IN THE STATE OF TOCANTINS (BRAZIL)

Last week HIDRIA was selected among 6 international companies to carry out the review of the Tourism Policy of Tocantins (Brazil), as well as the elaboration of the Tourism Sustainable Development Plans for four (4) prioritary regions: Bico do Papagaio, Vale dos Grandes Rios, Serras Gerais e Ilha do Bananal. Tocantins is a Brazilian state located at the southeast of the North region. Around of its capital (Palmas), approximately 30 kilometres away, is situated the ecotourism settlement of Taquaruçu, famous for the pleasant climate and its numerous waterfalls ‘cachoeiras’ that surround the valley where it is located (as the Roncador Waterfall, of 90 metres high.

The project is part of the Integrated and Sustainable Regional Development Project of Tocantins, financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).

During the next few weeks, we will work in partnership with associated consultants and strategic partners in Brazil for preparing an attractive, reasonable and economically viable proposal in order to achieve the final award of the project. We will keep you informed…PORTADA
